FACT is launching a new issue brief series focused on Special Populations! This series covers populations that are at heightened risk for family violence and may face additional barriers accessing services. The first brief in this series focuses on People with Disabilities. These briefs are great educational tools for service providers, community leaders, facilitators, and organizational leaders.

Pathways to Resilience recently released a step-by-step guide designed to help communities and organizations establish their own trauma-responsive networks of care to promote resilience and healing. The guide explains the effects of trauma and toxic stress, explores evidence-based strategies for addressing them, and outlines steps for communities and organizations can take to build effective networks of care.

School Crisis Recovery and Renewal project and the Center for Adjustment, Resilience, and Recovery (CARRE) (two National Child Traumatic Stress Network Category II sites) are holding a collaborative session on December 12, 2:00-4:00pm to create space for service providers to process pain while witnessing violence and mourning loss as they provide care for the young people they serve.
