TCI Trauma-Informed Care Training Certificate
During Trauma Support Services' 2024-2025 grant year, Trauma Care Institute is offering another cycle of their TCI Trauma-Informed Care Training Certificate. This training certificate focuses on trauma-informed work with female survivors of violence and crime, their families, and the resiliency of survivors as well as that of service providers. This program seeks to inform and assist mental health professionals, law enforcement personnel, lawyers, advocates, and other criminal justice and victim service providers navigating their work with survivors through a trauma-informed, diverse, and empathic lens. Mobilizing Communities to Prevent Human Trafficking
January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently hosted a two-part virtual event, which brought together a diverse group of subject-matter experts from across the country, alongside HHS leadership, to explore practical initiatives for preventing human trafficking. The event focused on activating community connections to support comprehensive prevention efforts. Participants highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration across multiple sectors to engage all systems affecting individual, family, and community health.
