VA Trauma-Informed Initiatives Catalog

The Office of Trauma and Resilience Policy (OTRP)'s Virginia Catalog of Statewide Trauma-Informed Initiatives highlights Virginia's state agency-level programs and initiatives that intentionally and explicitly demonstrate trauma-informed and healing-centered principles, policies, and practices. The catalog is housed on the Virginia HEALS website, but it can be accessed via VDSS’s public-facing OTRP webpage. The OTRP anticipates that this will be a living document that will be routinely updated as programs evolve and emerge.

Toward Wellness: The Status of School-Based Mental Health Initiatives in Virginia is a comprehensive report that answers critical questions about what SBMH is and how these services can be funded; provides context on the status of SBMH initiatives in the state of Virginia; shares insights from the 2024 legislative session and current outcomes regarding SBMH; and offers considerations and recommendations for community members, legislators, and state agencies on how we can build out a statewide SBMH system that will center and meet the needs of Virginia’s young people.
