March 2024

The National Women’s History Month’s theme for 2024 celebrates “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” The theme recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.

Learn more about the theme and download a toolkit with resources for the classroom and community from National Women's History Alliance.

March 8 is International Women's Day, and the theme is #InspireInclusion. Find events, resources, and a toolkit on the International Women's Day website.

The fifth annual Resilience Week Virginia is May 5-11!

The theme this year is "Piece by Piece" and SCAN has been working with Tilt Creative + Production on a creative campaign that will be shared throughout the state thanks to the statewide public awareness grant from VDSS.

Through the act of community building, each of our individual experiences come together, piece by piece, to create something new, foundational, and long-lasting. We're excited to share more soon!

In the meantime, please share any events or activities you have planned so we can add to the Resilience Week website!

When you sign up for the LUV Hub on the Lift Up Virginia website, you can post and view events, programs, and initiatives in your region and throughout the state, receive comprehensive marketing tools, read inspiring stories, and connect with others on message boards. Make the most of this free, collaborative resource and sign up today!
