March 2025

The National Women’s History Month’s theme for 2025 is "Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations" and celebrates the collective strength and influence of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership. Learn more about the theme and download a toolkit with resources for the classroom and community from National Women's History Alliance.

March 8 is International Women's Day, and the theme is #AccelerateAction, which calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres. Find events, resources, and a toolkit on the International Women's Day website.

The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.
