VALLEJO, CA-On July 5, 2025, at approximately 1:36 A.M., the Vallejo Fire Department responded to an emergency medical call for service concerning an unconscious female on the 400 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane. The Vallejo Fire Department provided medical aid to the female and immediately transported her to a local hospital for medical attention.
Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed the victim and identified at least one gunshot wound. The Vallejo Police Department's Patrol and Detective Divisions were promptly notified and responded to the hospital and the scene. Despite the ongoing life-saving efforts by medical staff, the victim ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:32 P.M.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division ultimately took over this investigation. The Neighborhood Impact Team (NIT) also responded and provided trauma-informed outreach and connected affected residents with critical support resources.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this shooting are currently under investigation.
The female's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
