VALLEJO, CA-On June 20, 2025, at approximately 9:03 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call for service regarding a shooting on the 2100 block of Griffin Drive.
Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers immediately rendered medical aid to the male victim until the paramedics arrived. Despite the life-saving efforts of medical personnel, the male succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded and took over the investigation. In addition, the Vallejo Police Department Neighborhood Impact Team was activated, with IHART providing trauma-informed outreach and resource connections for impacted residents and businesses.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation at this time.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
