VALLEJO, CA- On October 14, 2025, at approximately 8:47 p.m., the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call for service regarding a possible shooting at a residence on the 200 block of Maine Street.
Upon arrival, officers observed an adult female suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers immediately rendered medical aid to the female victim until the paramedics arrived. Despite the life-saving efforts of medical personnel, the female succumbed to her injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded and took over the investigation. In addition, the Vallejo Police Department Neighborhood Impact Team was activated, with IHART providing trauma-informed outreach and resource connections for impacted residents and businesses.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation at this time.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
