Vallejo, CA - On July 5, 2024, at approximately 12:00 P.M., the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) responded to a shooting near the intersection of Tennessee Street and Humboldt Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound and immediately provided medical aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Their investigation identified Bruce Davis, a 35-year-old Vallejo resident, as the suspect in this homicide. Following their investigation, VPD's detectives secured an arrest warrant for Bruce Davis on a charge of murder.
On September 19, 2024, the Vallejo Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, in coordination with the Fairfield Police Department and the Solano County Sheriff's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Teams, conducted successful operations in Vallejo and Fairfield, California. As a result of these joint operations, Bruce Davis was safely apprehended without incident.
Following his arrest, Davis was booked into the Solano County Jail and subsequently charged with murder.
