Sponsorship Opportunity

VAST Members,

We are appealing to you to help support our Merging Visions exhibition. The greatest expense is the catalog. We are planning an expanded version of what we have done in the past, giving our artists and poets greater recognition and visibility. The total cost of the catalog will be $3345; this will give us something we can be extremely proud of. Through the efforts of Merging Visions Chairs, Gail Cope and Olivia Walker, we have received $1000 grant from Denton Benefit League for this project. Thus far we have received $350 in sponsorships from VAST members. This leaves an outstanding total of $1995.

Unlike our other exhibitions, there is no entry fee for this exhibition, so funding must come from donations. The very basic rate for sponsorship is $25, which includes one catalog. This amount barely covers the cost of a catalog, and you receive recognition in the catalog as a sponsor.  See this link for a donation form showing the levels of sponsorship available for your donation.

I want to stress that any donation amount is greatly appreciated. The deadline for receipt of sponsorships is February 20. We will still accept sponsorships after this date, but we cannot guarantee recognition in the catalog.  We will, however, recognize you at the reception.

My admiration for all of our VAST members is boundless! You are incredibly talented, and it is because of your talent and generosity with your time and money that we are recognized throughout the region and beyond for our professional organization.

Jo Williams, President

Origin of the Universe by Bonnie Siebert; January 9-April 10

Bonnie Siebert is exhibiting a series of work called Origin of the Universe, a five part representation of different aspects of a woman's influence in the world. The swaying, swinging skirts and overflowing hats contain all the elements that continue to mystify man and woman herself as she strives to utilize the variousness of her powers and unite them in the eternal feminine; an identity of strength, liberation and love.

Siebert studied art at the University of Texas and has continued to study with private instructors in Texas and Mexico. She has exhibited paintings in Germany and the United States, and is currently exhibiting in several Texas galleries. Inspired by the Fauves and the Impressionists, Bonnie has developed her own style of Impressionism.
