Member Profile Workshop Before Meeting
|
We will be holding a "Member Profile Workshop" between 6:00 and 7:00 tomorrow (November 13) before the VAST member meeting. Some knowledgeable board members will be on hand to assist you in entering and editing your user profile on VAST's website. A limited number of computers will be available, so bring your laptop if you would like. Also, bring a digital jpeg image that you would like to include with your information (on flash drive, is one way.) This may be a photo of you or one of your art to represent you. We will have your login credentials to give you if you have lost or forgotten them.
To get started on your own, here is a link to the updated directions.
Let's get the web roster filled with images and information!

|
There are fewer than 10 places left for VAST members to 'pair' their artwork with a poet for the 2015 Merging Visions Exhibit. All 'pairings' are to be completed by December 4th. We would like participating artists to have signed their contracts by the December 4th VAST meeting.

We are also looking for sponsors for the catalog to help us make this year's version the best one yet! If you are interested, please contact Olivia Walker or Gail Cope.

Monthly Mini-Shows
VAST members are encouraged to bring a piece of art to our monthly meetings for a member's choice competition. We vote on our favorite pieces during the break. At the conclusion of the program, we award the first place winner "Artist of the Month," who receives a $25 gift certificate from Asel Art Supply redeemable at any of their locations. The second place winner receives a $15 gift certificate from Asel. The mini-show doesn't take place at the meeting when we have our High School Art Competition. At the May meeting, all "Artists of the Month" bring back their winning artwork, and from these pieces, we vote and select our "Artist of the Year." Once you have won "Artist of the Month" you are not eligible to win that award again in the current VAST year, but may bring work for "show" to subsequent monthly meetings after winning.
