This email serves to notify you that the VA has released a new mandatory training titled MDE Lethal Means Safety which is only available in VBA MDE TRAIN. The purpose of the Lethal Means Safety web-based training course is to provide you with information necessary for understanding the relevance of lethal means safety to Veteran Suicide Prevention, common strategies for improving lethal means safety, and the consideration for discussing lethal means safety. Please disregard any notifications regarding this course from Sabacloud, and proceed to access the training course in VBA MDE TRAIN only.
All QTC examiners (regardless of specialty) must take this approximately 15 minute course which is informational only and contains No Post Test. Please see below steps for accessing in VBA MDE TRAIN and ensuring your account is visible to QTC.
VA Requirement: This mandatory training MUST be completed by March 27, 2023.
Step 1: DO NOT create a new TRAIN account. If you don't know your TRAIN Login Name or Password, please click the below to be taken to the "Forgot Your Login Name/Password" feature and request a password reset using your email on file with QTC or contact VACertifications@qtcm.com.
Step 2: After you have retrieved your TRAIN Login Name & Password, Click the below link which will take you directly to the PACT Act course in VBA MDE TRAIN and log in.
Step 3: Go into your VBA MDE TRAIN profile settings and ensure "Vendor Examiner/QTC" is listed in the Manage Groups section of your profile. If it is not, please use the "Join By Group Code" feature, enter "QTC654" and click Join. Please ensure to save the changes after adding the group code. We recommend using the group code method as this allows us as well as any other currently listed VBA MDE vendors the ability to see your account and training records within TRAIN. Please reference the below job aid for further illustrated instructions for adding the group code to your TRAIN account.
