Sunday Morning Service Attendance: 508 (251 in person and 257 online)
Additional Service Views: 626
We had a wonderful service yesterday. Pastor Victor Moura was our guest preacher and we celebrated Missions Sunday. If you missed any of our sermons, you can watch here.
We had a good kickoff to our two service indoor schedule with 251 people total in attendance. Without the addition of people attending the 9:00 service, we would not have room for everyone at 10:30. Thanks to those who are making two services possible.

Our staff has worked hard to keep you safe on Sunday mornings. I know of no other church going through such lengths to protect their people. We invite you to join us for in person worship! Here are just a few things we are doing to keep you safe:
Sanctuary is sanitized between services using a misting machine

Door knobs/hand rails are sanitized between services

We ask everyone to wear a mask

Stairwells are one-way traffic only

Social Distanced Sanctuary Seating

Preschool and Children ministries follow CDC guidelines

Sunday School classes clean the room after use

Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the building

And More!
The sanctuary has been clearly marked so that everyone can seat themselves according the guidelines we have set. We have a new building flow to keep you safe. Click here to see a map of classes and directions of stairways.
Thank you for your flexibility as we work to provide the best worship and Sunday School experience possible while keeping everyone safe!

We request everyone wear a mask. If you don't have a mask, we will provide one for you. If you are unable to wear a mask, per CDC guidelines, we ask that you please do not sing.
Programming for children birth-5th grade will be available by reservation the entire duration of Sunday morning from 9:00-11:30. K-5th grade will meet in the Fellowship Hall while Preschoolers will meet in the Nursery. Click the link to register below.

We are excited to be able to minister to families again this year through the Toy Project, however it will be carried out in a different way. Would you consider donating funds to the Toy Project Ministry? Our goal is $6000, which will then be used by volunteer shoppers that will be assigned a family to shop for. We are anticipating 100-150 kids to be registered this year.
If you give, please note that it is for Toy Project or click this link to give now.

Are you willing to help by being a shopper or a wrapper this year? Contact Kendra in the office and she will add you to the list.
Samaritan's Purse is again collecting Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes this year. Due to covid-19 issues, OCC is encouraging the traditional packing of shoeboxes by individuals and families, as well as offering the option to Build a Shoebox online. The Build a Shoebox online page allows people to choose items to include in a shoebox along with adding a personal photo and letter. Samaritan's Purse will then pack and ship the shoebox for a donation of $25, which includes the $9/box shipping donation. Here is the online link to Build a Shoebox.

VBC will have cardboard shoeboxes with labels attached available for pickup beginning Sunday, November 8, in the Family Room and in the hallway outside of the church office. These locations are also where you can return your filled box. The deadline for return of the shoebox to church is Sunday, November 22nd. Please remember to include the $9/box donation for shipping inside the shoebox.

If you have any questions, please contact Lora Gowins by phone or text at 859-229-2133, or by email at loragowins@gmail.com.
The Mission of Hope (MOH) has to change the way it provides Christmas gifts to children of 30 schools in Eastern KY and Eastern TN. As before, children will receive a Christmas toy, personal hygiene kit, and a Bible, as well as clothes, shoes, socks, and food for the family. Churches, like VBC, will be unable to help at the schools. The MOH staff and volunteers will deliver to the schools and make sure each child has a Christmas gift.
We want to help MOH achieve this goal; instead of items, would you donate money? Donate by check to VBC and note MOH Christmas or online. The deadline is Sunday, November 29, so that the money is available to the MOH for shopping and delivery to schools. Thank you for any donation you can give.
Join us December 19 at 5:30pm. Open to friends and family! Don't forget to wear your favorite Christmas mask! Also streamed live on Facebook.
Food Pantry Need
The Food Pantry for Woodford County is remaining in operation and could use our help for supplies. This is a difficult time for many and we want to help. The Food Pantry has a NEED of peanut butter. They are NOT in need of green beans or corn. Drop off donations at the church Monday - Friday 8-5 pm. Please leave donations in the hallway outside of the office.
