STAT OF THE WEEK Today is the first day of Black History Month! Did you know that at least 45% of the veterans VBH served last month identify as Black / African American?
Meet Tracy Threatt - Tracy served in the US Navy for 9 years, stationed in the Philippines, DC, and Italy on the USS Simon Lake (ASS-33). A YN2 when she left the service, she is now a Veteran counselor at CPCC and VBH Captain!
This is a new section that introduces Veterans in the community. In honor of Black History Month, we will be highlighting Black Veterans each week of February. Send us suggestions for who we should highlight next week.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTThe Ballantyne Breakfast is officially changing its name to the Veteran Breakfast! For those of you that don't know, this is a virtual networking breakfast that happens on the first Thursday of every month at 8:00 AM on zoom. The name change is meant to reflect that the event is not limited to people living near Ballantyne but that any veteran is welcome to join!
