VETERAN SPOTLIGHT

Our Veteran Spotlight this week is Ida Mae Irby! Ida Mae was a public affairs sergeant in the US Army, and you may recognize her as a local Charlotte artist! You can check out some of her latest work here.

This is a new section that introduces Veterans in the community. In honor of Black History Month, we will be highlighting Black Veterans each week of February. Send us suggestions for who we should highlight next week.

DEPENDENTS OF SOME DISABLED VETERANS CAN NOW FLY SPACE-A A recent regulations change allows dependent family members of permanently and totally disabled veterans to fly on space-available, or Space-A, flights. READ MORE

VBH Squads! We are considering introducing a new program as a COVID-safe alternative to our regular in-person events. These would be small groups of 4-8 people that meet regularly to hang out and discuss shared interests (sports, movies, food, etc.). These Squads can be virtual, or in-person based on groups' comfort level.
