EVENT HIGHLIGHT Have you ever wanted to create your own website? Next Friday, join us for a special virtual event: Building a Web Site Class. This class will be taught by our friend Todd Criswell and is a great opportunity for beginners looking to advance your web design skills.

ICYMI Last week our team attended the America's Warrior Partnership's virtual conference to learn how to further our impact. We love improving our skills so that we can better serve our community!

A MILITARY VETERAN PAINTED THE R ON THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MURAL, AND NOW SHE WANTS TO PAINT ALL THE STREETS One day this June, a military veteran looked down at the letter she painted — on the main street of the city where she grew up, in the country she served — and she saw skid marks.

COVID-19 EXACERBATES JOB WOES FOR VETERANS, MILITARY SPOUSES The unemployment rate for veterans was 2.9% when 2019 came to a close. Now, as the COVID-19 pandemic upends the U.S. economy, that figure has more than tripled, leaving nearly 800,000 veterans searching for work.

HUGE SLATE OF VETERAN SUICIDE PREVENTION MEASURES SET FOR DEBATE NEXT MONTH Democratic leaders of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee this week announced plans to mark up a hefty slate of suicide prevention bills early next month as Senate lawmakers and administration officials lament that already existing solutions to the problem aren’t moving fast enough through Congress.
