Today the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is launching its new advertising campaign that focuses on who REALTORS® are. I’m excited about this new campaign because it focuses on the brand. Here are four seemingly small, but truly impactful,  MLS mistakes  you should avoid at all costs.

It’s an age-old tale, but a new Alexa app implies they’re going to put Realtors out of work. Sure thing, buddies.
Option for Buyer to “Hold” or “Fold” (but not renegotiate) on
inspection issues

Under the pre-2019 contract, the buyer had three basic options if the Buyer discovered property condition problems:
(1) Do nothing and accept the condition of the property subject to the flaws;
(2) Submit an objection and attempt to negotiate a change; or
(3) terminate the contract.

The Commission has now enabled buyers to make simpler offers that limit the buyer to the (1) and (3) option. The 2019 contract can also be written in a way that duplicates the pre-2019 system. Learn how to use the new system with Jon Goodman.
In this edition: A NAR introduces a proposal to protect 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Also, using automated texts as part of your marketing could violate do-not-call laws.

If you have clients whose application for a federally backed Rural Housing Service loan got snagged in the shutdown, let NAR know so it can help your clients get priority processing. Also, a residential and commercial market outlook for 2019.

The Vail Pro Designation is an education program created for Vail Board of Realtors ®   members who want to increase their local knowledge in the real estate industry to become local experts.

Step 1:   Review the education  tracking sheet   to determine which classes you want to take.
 
Step 2:   Review the class  schedule   and sign up for the classes you want to take. 

Step 3:   Once you complete 80% of total classes hours (46 hours) submit your Vail Pro Designation   application.
