40-day Challenge to Start Soon
We've been under stay at home orders for four months now, but I feel like I just woke up and it's March 19th again. Our little ones won't be returning to in-person school next month, and our college students may or may not depending on where they attend. Even those who are still expecting to return are coming to terms with the fact plans from schools are changing daily.

People all over the world are hungry, unemployed, and hurting. People we know are getting sick, and the case and death numbers continue to trend in the wrong direction. I know we were all anticipating a new kind of normal, I just didn't realize it would be day after day of the same gaping uncertainty.

But some things haven't changed, will never change. God is still with us, God loves us, and God, as always, is waiting for us to turn to him. Next week I will announce a 40-day spiritual practice I originally conceived to challenge families to look at their spiritual life in new ways. But now I'm seeing it as something more transformative. Something that can help us all turn toward God. I hope you will join me.

Stay tuned...

Much Love,
Sunday-Holy Eucharist
Sundays, 10 am
This week we'll all come together for the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist from The Book of Common Prayer. Since none of us can receive communion right now, after Mother Brenda consecrates the elements, we'll all join in the prayer for Spiritual Communion. You'll find the bulletin and video on our  website . Join us after the service for Zoom fellowship. Click here to join via Zoom or call 669-900-6833 (meeting ID: 224 586 038)

Conversations about Race
Take the Survey
Conversations about Race has wrapped up, but the journey toward anti-racism isn't over.  We are helping to organize a few different groups to continue this journey.
If you would like to participate in a follow-up group, please indicate your preference in the survey (link below), and then we'll do our best to organize respondents into corresponding groups. We'll provide study guides for each of the choices, so the facilitator role would mostly be ensuring conversations are respectful and stay on track. We can also provide a brief training for interested facilitators.

If you have any questions, comments, or ideas please contact me.

VBS by Constance
Available Now!
Constance Mithelmen, our youth director who is also Bethlehem Lutheran's Family Minister, put together a delightful  virtual VBS program called "God at Work."  She created it with so much love and joy, I think you and your children will love it. Each of the 5 videos is currently posted to the BLC website so you can do it every day for five days, all on the first day, or at whatever pace works for you. If you missed me waxing nostalgic for my VBS years last week,  you can  read it here.

Diocesan Virtual VBS
Sundays, 3 pm
All aboard for Vacation Bible School 2020! Our first-ever  diocesan online VBS is ready for adventurous minds of all ages to explore Jesus in new and exciting ways. Climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway! On this faith-filled adventure, kids discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life's ups and downs. We'll explore Jesus' role in our lives through pre-produced videos and songs, locally led skits, and scripture led by church leaders from across our diocesan family. Starting July 12th, these 20-30 minute videos will premiere each Sunday afternoon at 3 pm, and will be a great opportunity for our families to explore faith, together, then continue the conversation during dinner that night.  No registration required.  Click  here for access.
