Fall Picnic Fun


A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Fall Picnic on Friday! It was such a joy to gather together as a community and share in a wonderful time of fellowship, laughter, and festive fall fun.

Time: Basketball scrimmage at 3:00 p.m. (CoEd Varsity teams from Veritas vs. Fletcher PD), Cookout at 4:00 p.m.


Location: Veritas gym and parking lot


Organizer: Fletcher Police Dept.


Fundraiser to benefit Spokes of Hope, an organization that supports continued disaster relief in the Bat Cave and Chimney Rock area.


Warrior News


Our Cross Country Team competed in the CSAA state championship meet last week. The Varsity Girls Team came in third place overall. Merritt Leik finished second with a time of 21:16, and was named All-State. Sadie Moffitt finished seventh with a time of 24:06, and was also named All-State. On the boys side, Gunnar Patterson turned in a top 10 finish, coming in ninth with a time of 20:00. Thank you to Nathan Sundt for coaching our cross country team this season.


Our Volleyball Teams competed in the CSAA state tournament as well. The Varsity Team won a quarterfinal match against Asheboro-Hybrid 3-2, but fell to Cresset Christian 0-3 in the semifinals. The JV team beat Heritage Christian 2-0 in the quarterfinal, but lost to Haywood Christian 0-2 in the semifinals. The middle school team lost to Asheboro-Hybrid 1-2 in the quarterfinals. Thank you to Donna Russell, Michelle McClain, and Erica Merrill for coaching our girls this year.


Our Varsity Boys Soccer Team finished their season in the CSAA state tournament. The Warriors lost to Liberty Prep 1-3 in the semifinals. Thank you to Mike Jennings for coaching the boys this year.


We will be taking a two week break from competitions while we transition to our winter sports. Our basketball teams will be practicing before games start back on Nov. 10.
