VCA Library

As we prepare for Literature Festival: A Garden of Virtues (February 23-27), it seems like a wonderful time to announce that we are working on the plans for a school library. While the work will be done in phases, construction will begin this summer!

Room 107 Adler Hall will be transformed into a library which will serve and enrich our entire student body and faculty. This library will allow space to work on group projects, read, research, write, and participate in seminars at a harkness table. It will also allow a space for larger collaborative meetings with students, teachers, families, and visitors. The space will be carefully designed to function effectively, while keeping the character of our historic, charming building.

You can help support or school library by:

  • Donating financially. We have already been blessed with a $20,000 match pledge from now until March 12th.

  • Buying books at the Book Fair to donate to the library. At our Literature Festival Open House and Book Fair on Friday, February 27 ( 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.) families will have an opportunity to purchase books to donate to our inaugural library, which will allow you to forever become a part of the Veritas legacy.

Literature Festival Week

We are thrilled for next week’s Garden of Virtues Literature Festival! Throughout the week, students will enjoy daily D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) time, experience an engaging reader’s theatre performance, decorate their doors with creative book-themed designs, and take part in a variety of activities that celebrate and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Make plans to spend time with your students on campus on Friday, February 27 at our Book Fair and Open House. Drop in anytime 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Walk the hallways with them to see the book door decorating contest, shop the book fair, and more!
