The Scholé Studio at Veritas Christian Academy

 The VCA Scholé Studio offers a unique approach to teaching and learning that is  designed to offer a sound, engaging and thoroughly Classical, Christian education at a more measured pace for students who need additional support and attention. Scholé Studio is the best of Christ-centered, Classical learning woven into restful learning (hence the Latin word scholé). The ultimate goal of the Scholé Studio at Veritas is the same as all teaching and learning at VCA. We desire for all of our students to mature in wisdom and eloquence while engaging the true, good, and beautiful.

Cathy Allen Day

Dear Veritas Community,

We wanted to notify you about an expected occurrence in an unexpected time. Our very own Mrs. Allen will be retiring soon due to upcoming surgery for her husband, Charles, and his expected recovery and continued treatment. Please join us in praying for complete healing for Charles and for Cathy as she enters this next phase of life.

It is with a sense of joy and gratitude I declare Thursday, February 8th Cathy Allen Day at Veritas Christian Academy. This will be her last day at VCA. She will be here that day from 7:00am-1:00pm. She is precious to us all and all of us at Veritas have been blessed by her service. What some of you may not know is that “Miss Cathy” has been a part of the Veritas Christian community from day one of the past twenty-five years. First as a parent and then soon after that serving at Veritas. Of her recollection, she has seen 327 VCA students graduate through the years.

Mrs. Allen will stay connected to Veritas as she has been officially named “permanent sub for VCA staff.” Due to her many roles over the years and her love of the school, we know that we can count on her and will see her around campus in the years to come.

Senior Trip Fundraising Reminders

• Order Super Bowl Snacks "To Go" by Friday, February 9th.
• Purchase tickets for this Saturday's Father Daughter Dance (February 10th at 7 p.m.)

Warrior News

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team had 3 games last week. The Warriors defeated Bethel Christian Academy 69-40 and 84-46, and also beat Haywood Christian Academy 56-28. Our Logic School boys lost to Bethel 36-44 before turning around and beating them later in the week 40-35. The Logic School boys also beat Haywood 46-17. 

The Varsity Girls Team had two games against Bethel last week. Veritas won both by scores of 61-15 and 42-26. Our JV Girls won their lone game of the week, defeating Haywood 40-13.
