Important Reminders for this Week

  • Hot Lunch - Today is the last Day to order Hot Lunch for the month of September! Please order before 10:00 p.m. tonight. If you have questions, please reach out to kmccarson@veritasnc.org

  • Retreat Drop-Off - Logic and Rhetoric School retreat drop-off (Wednesday 8/27) will take place at Bill Moore Community Park (aka Fletcher Park). Logic School students should be dropped off at the first pavilion by 8:00 a.m. Rhetoric School students should be dropped off at the second pavilion by 8:15. Please be aware that there may be traffic due to Fernleaf's drop-off across the street from the park. If you have a Grammar School student, we suggest dropping them off at the school first and then heading to Fletcher Park. Thank you, and please reach out to the appropriate principal with any questions!

  • Carline this week - On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, while LS/RS students are on retreat, families with an orange car tag should come through carline 3:15-3:30 p.m. (no earlier). Green tags should only come between 3:00-3:15 p.m. This is to help with traffic flow and pick-up efficiency. Thank you!

Important Info Regarding Parent Night

Please plan to attend Parent Night this Thursday, August 28. We request that at least one parent try to attend this important event.

The evening is designed to set your child up for success this school year. Please note that this is a parents only event and no childcare is provided.

Classroom doors will open ten minutes before the start time. Parking is available on both sides of the school building with entrance through the Sayers Hall, Lewis Hall, and Forum doors (the front doors will not be open).

New this year are Principal sessions, which will be held in the Forum. Please plan to attend your child(ren)’s session and one of the principal sessions.

See the schedule here.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday!

Community Prayers for Retreats

The time at retreat can be powerful in shaping our Logic School and Rhetoric School students' hearts and community and because of this we are asking families and members of the Veritas Community to cover our time in prayer.

Please select an hour on the sheet linked here, to pray individually or in small groups. During the hour you have selected (and any time) please intentionally lift up our students, teachers, parent volunteers, and camp staff. There are some requests based on scheduling, but all prayers are welcomed.

After School Clubs

We have some wonderful after school club opportunities for students! Visit the website to learn more. If you have questions, please contact dburgess@veritasnc.org

Immunization Reports

Each year, NC requires that all schools, public and private, file an immunization report.

As we head into the new year, all Kindergarten, 7th grade and 12th grade students are due for an updated immunization record. This is usually completed during their annual physical.

NC also honors families that choose medical or religious exemption for their children.

If your child is entering any of these grades, please provide an updated immunization record or a letter requesting exemption. If you do not have a student in these grades, there is no action needed.

Click here for specific NC immunizations or do not hesitate to contact Monique Wack, 828-681-0546 or mwack@veritasnc.org
