If you did not, please email twoods@veritasnc.org 2) CARLINE UPDATE: Beginning on November 2nd, we will be reverting back to our usual pattern for carline now that the modulars have been removed. This was Dr. Woods's third time as a guest on the show. Each time he has discussed Ray Bradbury novels.

OUTSTANDING FACULTY AND STAFF Please see below those who were selected as Outstanding Faculty and Staff for next quarter and please join me in congratulating them. These folks will receive special, designated parking for the term and a bag of ShareWell coffee!

Rhetoric Staff - Josh Fisk He's a gifted teacher with a manifest love for his subject and, more importantly, for our students. Furthermore, from his assistance with technology to his leadership as the Virgil Head of House, he demonstrates a heart of service that goes well above and beyond his job requirements.

Logic Staff - Sarah Haile She leads with a gentle hand. She is a consistent, creative teacher who is willing to go above and beyond to help students. Her demeanor and disposition encourage those around her. The Logic school is a stronger school because of Sarah Haile.

Grammar Staff - Coach Chris He has completely taken GS Chapel and made it something that the students look forward to each week - even virtually! It is meaningful and Gospel-filled! He has also had to completely revamp PE to accommodate social distancing and has accomplished that with aplomb. He's an eager learner and the epitome of servanthood.

Veritas Staff - Candice Pritz She helps set the tone of the school in ways that others may not always see. She has completely transformed our communications. Our website and social media presences are stellar. She sees the best of what Veritas has been, is, and hopes to be, and moves us toward the good, the true, and the beautiful daily.

VOLUNTEERS/HELP NEEDED WARRIOR CAFE SERVERS If you are interested in helping serve coffee and baked goods from Warrior Cafe to help our PTF, please take a look at this Sign-Up. It is a short one-hour shift on Tuesdays and Thursdays. THANKSGIVING LUNCH Please take a look at the Sign-Up Genius for items we need donated for our Thanksgiving Lunch. We also are in need of volunteers on the service line! THANK YOU!

Warrior Cafe -- Opens Tomorrow! Warrior Cafe will be open for service beginning tomorrow (7:00-8:15 AM). We have asked for you to order ahead, but we are also accepting walk-up orders. *If you ordered ahead, please pull into the designated parking by the cafeteria/Warrior Cafe door (indicated by cones off to the right of carline) for your curbside service. To be helpful for our volunteers, please display your Pick-Up Name sign in your dashboard so that they may get you served as quickly as possible.  Warrior Cafe Drive-thru accepts cash or check, made payable to Veritas Christian Academy. If you choose to pay upon receipt, we will need exact change to maintain carline efficiency. "Keep the Change!" proceeds and other donations will benefit the school and our PTF.

NOVEMBER HOT LUNCH REMINDER: The November Hot Lunch order window closes at 11:00 p.m. on October 28! For all of our new families and those who may not order Hot Lunch on a regular basis --each year we have a special, traditional Thanksgiving meal on the Friday (November 20th) before break. Don't let your child miss out on the yummy fun! ORDER HOT LUNCH

WARRIOR NEWS: SPECTATOR POLICY Our fall sport teams are hard at work getting ready for the upcoming season! We are looking forward to seeing you at our contests. We have made a few decisions regarding fan attendance that I wanted to bring to the attention of our Veritas family. For our Volleyball matches, each athlete will be allowed to have 1 fan in attendance. Those fans that are in the gym will be asked to distance themselves from the other fans, and will also be asked to wear a mask. Since our Cross Country and Soccer competitions occur outside, we will not place a number restriction or mask requirement on the spectators. However, we would like the fans in attendance to distance themselves from each other.       We will continue to monitor the policies in place, and make adjustments when they are appropriate.
