VCC San Diego Spring Update
To our VCC Resource Members:

We had a busy quarter connecting veterans, military, and spouses to community members who have the knowledge and expertise they were looking for.
Each day we get new requests. If you haven't been contacted yet, we still value your willingness to be a part of our resource database and ask you to hang tight; we could use your knowledge/expertise at any point.

In the past few weeks our requests have included:

  • Career development, and VCC's Careers in the Community program
  • Advice on higher education degrees to pursue
  • Volunteerism
  • Home and car repair

If there have been any changes to your contact information since signing up, please let us know by emailing
We are thankful to the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce for hosting 4 San Diego District events showcasing VCC's work. With this outreach to business leaders we were able to add dozens of interested community members to our VCC Resource Database.
As a long time pillar in San Diego, COX Communications continues its support of the community with its new partnership with VCC. We are also thrilled to announce that COX Manager, Hugo Carmona, has joined our Executive Advisory Group.
VCC's Careers in the Community
This program is designed to introduce military, veterans, and spouses to career tracks they have an interest in pursuing by offering small group tours of local organizations that host a discussion with personnel and HR managers.

We have three upcoming events please see our website for more information.

San Diego Companies
interested in hosting a 'Careers in the Community' event with VCC:
" I loved interacting with the company's HR department during my visit."
"What I found most interesting about the event was the tour of the facilities and that the company approached us with questions about our veteran community."
"The most interesting part of today's event was the get-to-know the company approach."
VCC welcomes our new VISTAs

Julian Willis and Lindsay Harrison joined in March as full time VISTAs. We are thankful for the incredible talents and knowledge of our veteran/military community that they bring to VCC.
