"Years ago I went on the rafting trip on the Colorado River and it was amazing! Outward Bound Veteran trips are very cool and for me I was able to talk to and hear other Veterans military experiences that were similar to mine helping me process and heal. Rafting, campfires, sleeping under the stars, and being with fellow Veterans on the river. And, thanks to the supporters that contribute to Outward Bound, its totally paid for all the way from the airplane, hotel, etc. So, really you just need to budget your time, and the rest is paid for. What are you waiting for!?
Thank you Outward Bound providing this amazing experience for Veterans!"

Military Has Talent at LA Fleet Week
Up to 40,000 people attended the local celebration for the nation's armed forces.
Singers, poets and guitarists added a layer of creativity to this year’s Los Angeles Fleet Week — as well as come competition. They weren’t your everyday performers, but the everyday heroes the military expo in San Pedro celebrates annually. They also happen to have special, non-military talents. Which is why for the first time, Fleet Week featured “Military Has Talent,” a competition that culminated on Memorial Day with seven finalists taking to the state outside the USS Iowa.

"As a mother and veteran suffering from the effects of PTSD, I cannot express how much it means to me to be able to receive a donation from Brothers Mark Cannabis, Patriot Valley Farms, and Cookies brand CBD. The CBD helps me get through my day without any drowsiness and the indica flower helps get me to sleep at night. I have two small children and I am enrolled full time in welding school, so I have a very tight budget. If it wasn’t for the generous donations, I wouldn’t be able to access these items and would have to rely on prescription medications from the VA that often have adverse side effects. Being a part of Veterans Cannabis Group helps me help other veterans. The donations received are passed along to veterans on fixed incomes.

We have been able to get donations to elderly veterans, homeless veterans, veterans with cancer, PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and other illnesses. The majority of whom could not afford to go into a dispensary or who would buy untested products from the illicit market because of their low monthly income. Being able to help hundreds of veterans a year through these donations improves their quality of life, not just for them, but for their loved ones as well."

Bill SB1466 could be game changer for medical Cannabis in Arizona
The bill fights to expand medical conditions that qualify one for a medical card, adding PTSD and autism to the list. Additionally, veterans would not pay for a medical license. The bill also fights to cut the costs of the card overall — plunging from $150 to $50. Veteran residents urge your government to pass this bill!

Legislation Reintroduced in Congress Would Allow VA to Prescribe Medical Cannabis to Veterans
Under current law, VA doctors can discuss medical cannabis with veterans in states with legal programs, but it is unclear whether veterans are protected from federal prosecution if they choose to use cannabis.
Legislation reintroduced in Congress this week aims to remedy this situation by allowing the VA to prescribe medical cannabis to veterans in states and territories where it is legal.
