I am grateful to be a part of the  VCS school community.  I came to  VCS thirteen years ago in order to afford my daughters the opportunity to be a part of a significant Christian school community.  I am thankful that my daughters experienced the social, spiritual and academic emphases, and we continue to strive to provide such opportunities and challenge for every student.  This Thanksgiving season I pray that we all reflect upon our reasons for thanksgiving, perhaps especially the work of Christ in which we each have our ultimate hope:

"Is not the cup of Thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ?  And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?"  I Corinthians 10.16
