Food Limits and Lunch Cards
If you need to set or remove a limit on your student's lunch card, please email

Attention families who are new to  VCS (or families who might need a refresher!).  Attached is a document which provides detailed instruction on accessing Power School as parent.  Such access allows daily or weekly tracking of your student's grades, including the option to set up notifications.  By Monday evening, teachers have listed all assignments for the week as well, if this will assist your family in supporting your student.

For students in grades eight  thru twelve, information is also provided for accessing  iPads and  Moodle.  Please do not be too concerned if you have difficulty from home, as the teachers will help the students with access when school resumes

Parents, it is time to start thinking about retreat.  Retreat is a great opportunity for students to fellowship with one another, spend time in nature, and grow in their relationship with Christ.  We are looking forward to a great time.  Please click on the link below to download the retreat program with information regarding location and programming, the permission slip, and necessary medical forms.

As students prepare for retreat, our staff is also working to provide the best experience as possible for them.  That being so, we will need only a handful of parent chaperones this year.  We would like to take just enough chaperones with us so that we have the right student/chaperone ratio.  If you are interested in chaperoning for retreat please note that the parent chaperone application does not guarantee your spot.  Instead, the applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis (by student grade level).

Our expectations are that parent chaperones are:
        - Followers of Christ
        - Willing to pass a background check
        - Are a great support to our students but  will always defer to
VCS staff with any disciplinary actions.

Our Special Guests at Retreat
Leading worship will be Zach Henry and Mariah Davis from Valley Church.
Our Speaker this year is Austin Barker, a VCHS alum.

We Look Forward to a Great Week of Spiritual Growth and Worship!!!!

Our priority at VCS is to create a safe environment for your children the entire time they are on our campus.  Our extended care program is one way we strive to provide that safety after our regular school ours.  Students still on campus at 3:20 (2:25 on Tuesdays) will be escorted to the extended care room in the high school building.  When an authorized person arrives to pick up a child in extended care, please call the extended care supervisor, who will release the child to leave through the locked front door of the high school.

Morning day care is available from 6:30AM - 7:10AM in the MP.

The  VCS Radio Conservatory is excited to announce a new elective offering this year!  Middle School Choir is now available for immediate enrollment. This course will focus on building foundational singing skills and will introduce students to choral music while also cultivating a sense of pride, artistic identity and improved self-image. In this course, students will gain an understanding of correct singing/technique and expose them to music theory and a variety of repertoire from a various societies and cultures. Our class will allow students to experiment through artistic expression with a focus on the greatest Artist of all time, God. As such, we will honor and give glory to God through creativity!

NJHS Renewal

Middle School NJHS students who maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher for the spring semester of 2018-2019 received letters of renewed membership for the 2019-2020 school year. Student membership remains active as long as students maintain the minimum GPA of 3.5 and pillar requirements. Student accounts will be billed $10 for annual national dues. Congratulations to all our accomplished students!

NJHS Faculty Advisor

Parents - don't miss this important event! All elementary parents in attendance will receive a free dress pass, and all middle and high school parents in attendance will receive for their student a free homework pass. We'll be raffling off one "HOS pass" which excuses any VCS student from any homework assignment or any test that isn't a mid-term or final. We hope you'll join us!

VCS Family.
We at VCS are ever mindful of the safety and security of our students. While reviewing our parent handbook regarding closed campus procedures and deliveries to our students we have decided to implement a policy that aligns with other schools in our district to keep our children safe. Effective immediately we will be implementing the following addendum to our existing policies found in our Parent Handbook. Please read the new policy below.

Personal Deliveries/ Dropping Off Lunch
In order to provide the safest setting possible school staff must know who is on campus at all times. Deliveries made to students on campus pose a serious safety concern.  Parents (guardians) or emergency contacts wishing to drop something off to their students must park and enter the appropriate school office. Delivery and communication to your student will be handled accordingly. Students should not approach cars to receive items, again this is due to safety concerns.
The VCS campus is closed to the public at all times. Third party food delivery service (Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc... ) providers are are not authorized to be on campus and can pose safety and health concerns beyond our control.
Thank you for your ongoing support and the a continued safety of our school!

How does it work?

Refer a new family to VCS.  When the new family enrolls for the 2019-2020 school year, the referring family (that's you!) and the new family will each receive $1000 credit for the 2019 -2020 school year, towards their tuition.  You can refer up to five (5) families in one school year.  The $1000 credit is off your total tuition, not per child.
