Shop & Sell in Support of the VCP
Attention all bargain shoppers! Mark your calendars for the upcoming Community Garage Sale on Saturday, March 23, from 9am-1pm. So far, we have almost 20 tables/booths registered, as well as the commitment of furniture, home goods, kitchenware, children's gear and toys, books, and clothes being donated directly to the VCP community tables. Invite your family and friends to join you for a fun morning of deal hunting, complete with raffles, music, and a bake sale.

Already planning to come? Please visit the event on Facebook to tell us you're coming and help spread the word. Click here to learn more about the event or register for a table.
Your Profile on the Member Portal

Behind the scenes, we are working hard to get our membership data management system set-up through a tool called FellowshipOne (which will be your go-to source for all things VCP going forward). This is also the tool (including an app) where members will be asked to set up electronic pledge payments, register for events, view important VCP info, view giving statements, etc.

When you became a Friend of the Village, we collected limited information on your household. In the next week, you will received an e-mail with a link to a simple form where we will collect further information to help us complete your profile (names and contact info for other members of your household, etc.). Having a complete profile is important for the check-in process and ongoing functions of the organization. Please be on the lookout for this e-mail and aid the process by promptly completing the form.
MARCH MOMENTUM: WORK HEATS UP THIS MONTH
Construction on all aspects of the project are moving ahead full-steam in the month of March.

The materials for our Grace Pavilion are on-site, form boards in place, with the foundation being poured this week. The plumbing rough-in was completed last week on the Community Building with footers and slab being poured this week, as well. The perimeter fitness trail has been laid out, with the "trailblazing" set to begin within the week. Re-tiling of the lap pool is complete, along with a beautiful refinishing of the pool deck (removing cracked and broken areas of plaster, patching, caulking, and painting).
Over the last several months, we have asked members to be on the lookout for used pool deck furniture...but last week, we received news of a remarkable gift from a neighbor: NEW pool deck chaise lounges, tables, chairs, and umbrellas to grace our aquatics complex . This thoughtful and generous gift with be enjoyed by all who use our facilities for many years to come.

To our many committee volunteers working and preparing for opening--we extend our sincere thanks! The Village Club & Preserve is comprised of a group of talented and resourceful individuals. We look forward with great anticipation to c ommunity-focused programming, educational activities, fitness classes, athletic lessons, and swim instruction that are the heart of our organization. The planning and preparation takes a great deal of work--our thanks to all who are playing a part in bringing these life-enriching programs to the VCP.
Pickleball and Dog Park Enthusiasts--We Want Your Help!

After much research and the collection of numerous bids, the capital improvements team has decided to take on the restoration of the pickleball courts with the leadership of volunteers. Do you have a special interest in pickleball or experience/willingness to roll up your sleeves and help? Please contact Allison Warren through the below link and she will follow-up with more detail.

Interested in helping spruce up the dog park? Click on the below link to contact Pam Baker, who is helping lead the effort.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children's backyard pastime. (Wikipedia)

Over 30 Automobiles Anchor the VCP's Vintage Car Expo on February 24

Owners of a beautiful line-up of vintage and specialty cars met out at the VCP grounds, along with enthusiasts who wanted a close-up view and the opportunity to ask questions. Our thanks to Ken Kraft , Russell Knox and our members and the car show community for helping make the event such a success!
