VCS Weekly Newsletters and Updates
February 1, 2019
Dear VCS Community,

Tuesday was senior night for our girl’s and boy’s basketball teams. Both teams played hard, and I was proud to see our athletes compete with such passion and at a high level! On Wednesday morning of this coming week at 8:00 a.m. in the FBC Conference Room, please join me for Parent Partnership - Coffee with the Head of School. I’ll be available to answer questions as well as share exciting updates about my vision for VCS.
Have you heard of our Falcon Referral program? For all returning families, if you refer a family who enrolls at VCS for the 2019-2020 school year, you get a break on tuition, as well as the family you referred. Be a champion for our school - learn more by clicking here, or by contacting Maylene Ripley, VCS Director of Enrollment at 707-446-1776 ext. 5300. In case you missed it, you can find my most recent blog post by clicking here. It’s all about “pressing in” to impact your child’s faith. Read more to be re-inspired about the spiritual development of your child(ren) and to find tips on how to do it.

We are growing and improving all the time as a school. For example, next year in K-5, ability grouped math instruction will happen at the same time for all classes, and your child gets to be challenged at the level that’s right for them. Students who are at a higher math level can move up; students who need extra time can take math at a better pace. I am also putting a strong emphasis on the spiritual climate of our school. Nathan Talley, the Director of Spiritual Development at Monte Vista Christian, is going to spend time at VCS this spring in order to better help us partner with you in the spiritual growth of your child(ren).
