VCS Weekly Newsletters and Updates
March 14, 2019
Dear Vacaville Christian Community,

I’m proud that we are a school that values well rounded development in our students. Recently, our varsity boys and girls basketball teams were recognized as academic team champions (having the highest average team GPA) out of a total of 182 schools in the Sac-Joaquin section, while our boys soccer team placed third. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and I congratulate our athletes on both their curricular and extracurricular accomplishments! Tonight, at 7:00 p.m. in the MP, we’re hosting an athletics open house for both new and returning families. Come join us!
SFShakes.org came to VCS today and performed Shakespeare’s famous play, The Comedy of Errors. They did a terrific job, and it was an enlightening performance for our students! Also, our Radio Symphony performs “The Lost World” tonight, a silent film with a full orchestra accompaniment which is self composed by our VCS students! For those not attending the athletics open house, I hope you’ll come and join!
Many of you, through feedback in our annual parent survey, identified spiritual discipleship as an area to grow at VCS. To that end, Nahan Talley, the Director of Spiritual Development at Monte Vista Christian, visited our school on Monday and Tuesday of this past week. His partnership with VCS will help improve our spiritual climate, including biblical integration throughout our curriculum.
