Dear VCS Community,

I hope you had a restful Thanksgiving Break. This week has featured a variety of activities across our school and community. We’ve officially kicked off VCHS basketball and soccer season. Cross Country wrapped up well with Laura Everett competing admirably at the CIF State Championships. Laura was the only freshman from Solano County to advance to the State Championship. On Tuesday, I enjoyed my first ever Merriment on Main. I hope you enjoyed the festivities and tuned in to our VCS Radio Conservatory broadcast, which streamed live from the event!

Tickets to our 11th annual Crab Feed are on sale!! Click here to purchase yours . During Crab Feed this year, and for the first time ever at VCS, I’ll be honoring a Falcon of the Year  for the VCS staff member who most exemplifies our values. This is a continuation of my efforts this year to demonstrate to VCS staff how greatly they are appreciated. Please email Debbie Huntley ( [email protected] ) with your recommendation(s). Please be sure to include (1) your child(ren)’s name, (2) the staff member’s name, and (3) the reason why you are recommending them.

Our next Parent Partnership meeting is on Wednesday, December 5th at 8:00 a.m . at First Baptist Church. Come have coffee with me while I share important insights and updates on VCS. One important update is the renovation of our campus. You’ve probably noticed the turf on our EE playground, as well as our new security visitor booth. We’ve also started repainting the logo on our MP and the remodeling of our middle school bathrooms, with the hope that both projects will be finished soon!

Our new Early Education Director, Stephanie Yamoto, begins on Monday. Please join me in welcoming her at the meet and greet on Wednesday, December 5th @ 5:30 p.m. in the Elementary Library. Have a blessed weekend!
