Paul Bryan (Froehling & Robertson) and Kristen Costello (Dewberry Engineers) earned the 2023 President’s Award from the Virginia Economic Developers Association (VEDA).
VEDA comprises hundreds of professionals from the state in economic development and other related fields. Annually, the outgoing president recognizes an outstanding member or members for exemplary contributions to the membership-based nonprofit.
Bryan has been with Froehling & Robertson, a civil engineering firm based in Chesapeake, Virginia, for more than 18 years and is currently Vice President of Marketing and Director of Business Development. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and a Professional Engineer.
Costello is a Market Segment Leader for Richmond-based Dewberry, a nationwide firm of planning, design and engineering professionals. She earned her undergraduate degree from University of Richmond and was part of the LEAD Virginia class of 2019.
Christina Winn, VEDA’s 2023 president, presented the award during the organization’s winter meetings held in Richmond.
“These two people have helped VEDA elevate programming and content for our membership,” Winn said. “Their volunteer effort has given us the ability to offer more networking opportunities and professional development through speed networking, special events, and more. Their extraordinary effort to raise the bar in securing sponsorships has provided VEDA volunteers the opportunity to be creative in curating content and speakers to engage our members by providing ongoing professional development."
