Governor's 2024-2026 Biennial Budget Bill

References to economic development are mainly in Items 101 and 113. There are other references to economic development in other sections such as Central Appropriations for talent marketing money. Also included in the budget is $25 M in new money for DHCD for childcare facilities. Additionally, there is reduced funding in the budget for the Enterprise Zone program.

VEDA's 2024 Public Policy Platform has been posted! We are preparing for the 2024 Virginia General Assembly session. This year's platform document is full of all the items that are vital to economic development. As the 2024 legislative session progresses you will see more specific information on legislation and budget items that impact economic development and how VEDA is responding!
