VERTEX Acquires Compass Project Management, Inc.
 The Vertex Companies, Inc. (VERTEX) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Compass Project Management, Inc. (Compass). “To VERTEX this acquisition is about joining forces with an amazing company whose mission and core values are aligned with ours.” said Jeff Picard, President of VERTEX. “Together we believe we will create more value for our employees and customers.”

Compass is celebrating its 10th anniversary as an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) and has grown to become the preeminent OPM in eastern Massachusetts. “Compass is very excited to join The Vertex Companies.” said Tim Bonfatti, President and Owner of Compass Project Management, Inc. “The VERTEX mission and core values are wholly consistent with our customer and employee focus, stressing the need to bring added value and urgency to all of our projects. While we will continue to manage Compass as we have the past 10 years, our clients will get the benefit of the expanded resources of a national, multi-disciplinary firm.”

He has been with VERTEX for over eight years with a primary focus as a consultant to the surety claims industry and private public developers. Mr. Degenaars brings over 20 years of project management, facility management, private/public development and construction experience to each assignment. Mr. Degenaars has successfully managed a large variety of projects ranging from various types of vertical construction to heavy highway/civil design projects.
