VERTEX is excited to announce the opening of our newest office at 400 N. Tampa Street, Suite 1420 in Tampa, Florida. This office is one of three VERTEX office locations in Florida. Our other Florida offices are located in Bradenton and Ft. Lauderdale.

Kelly Bishop
Southeast Regional Vice President, Environmental
Kelly Bishop is responsible for facilitating environmental projects throughout the Southeast. As a former regulator for the State of Florida and Hillsborough County, Ms. Bishop has managed a wide variety of projects involving multi-media permitting and compliance including water resources, state lands, industrial and wastewater, air, and waste. Projects have been executed under federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and met all corporate safety needs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.

Ms. Bishop’s experience related to environmental management includes private, industrial, Department of Defense and Energy (DOD & DOE), State (FDEP and FDOT) and EPA projects. As a private consultant, she has assisted many clients in meeting their environmental compliance and regulatory requirements by generating policy and training to address potential hazards.

Steve Long
Vice President, Remediation
Steve Long has more than 30 years of experience, as both an engineer and geologist, on hazardous waste and petroleum assessment and cleanup projects throughout the United States. Mr. Long is responsible for planning, managing, and conducting environmental investigations, human health and ecological risk assessments, remedial plans and implementation of remedial action.

Mr. Long has been in charge of the design and installation of over one hundred soil and groundwater remediation and gas recovery and treatment systems across the U.S. He has designed and implemented a number of innovative technologies for cleanup of impacted soil and groundwater including in-situ chemical oxidation, biogeochemical reductive dechlorination, bioremediation, steam injection, and other techniques. He has also implemented high-resolution site characterization technologies, such as membrane interface probe, laser-induced fluorescence, modified active soil gas surveys, and other innovative site characterization tools.  

Bill Butler
Vice President, Remediation
Bill Butler has over 40 years of industrial project development and management experience. He has provided leadership in the strategic planning, industrial sector leadership and executing of successful national account programs for various environmental/engineering and hazardous waste management firms. Bill also has directed marketing programs including website development, communication and branding leadership.

Bill has partnered with clients in the environmental consulting and remediation field for 35 years. Among his previous positions, he has served as principal-in-charge for a major petroleum client; program manager for an aerospace client; and principal in charge for a PCB dredging project. Bill’s current role will be focused on enhancing growth, communication, project execution, and client diversification in the company’s industrial sector.

Isaac Gaetz
Division Manager, Forensic Engineering
Isaac Gaetz has almost 15 years of experience in management, structural design engineering, forensic engineering and risk assessment. Mr. Gaetz is responsible for the Chicago/Midwest forensic engineering division’s technical product, budget and growth while also providing technical guidance and oversight of engineers within the Chicago/Midwest division. 

Mr. Gaetz’s wide range of professional and structural engineering experience includes the design of numerous commercial and residential structures within Chicago, Illinois and the surrounding states. Mr. Gaetz has extensive experience with the on-site field work and has conducted hundreds of inspections and analysis of structural failures throughout the United States. Mr. Gaetz is an expert in the design, construction and repair of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures, and has extensive knowledge of existing, historical and antiquated building systems.
