February Technical Training Offerings
 
 
The Advanced Manufacturing Consortium in partnership with Northwest State Community College and in conjunction with The Ohio Manufacturing Partnership we are offering a variety of courses throughout the upcoming months. While we are offering classes that are of a technical nature we are also offering HR and Leadership topics, Computer topics, Lean Six Sigma, OSHA and Safety and others. Below is a list of the technical offerings we are holding in the month of February.





Introduction to VFD's Featuring PowerFlex 70

An overview of operation, setup and troubleshooting of a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) using the Allen Bradley PowerFlex 70.
This 16 hour course is designed to train personnel responsible for the operation and basic troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drive systems, in order to become more effective troubleshooters on production equipment. The trainees will learn how to wire, program and troubleshoot the Allen Bradley PowerFlex 70 Variable Frequency Drive hardware.
When: Feb 9-10, 2017 - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

AutoCAD Electrical 2017  Basics


In this 16 hour course you will learn the introductory functions of AutoCAD Electrical. Understanding the various types of electrical symbols, files and components used in AutoCAD electrical software is fundamental in the creation of electrical designs. In addition, learning the layout of the interface and how to use the working environment increases your designing efficiency.
When: February 10th, 2017 (8 am to 4 pm) and February 17th, 2017 (8 am to 4 pm)

Introduction to DeviceNet I/O Networks


An overview of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of a DeviceNet I/O network in a ControlLogix 5000 system. Designed for Engineering and Maintenance personnel. This 16 hour course was designed to make participants more effective troubleshooters on DeviceNet networked I/O. The trainees will learn installation/replacement and how to troubleshoot the DeviceNet hardware. A focus will also be on how to diagnose the Scanner Module and I/O Failures, as well as how to go online and commission I /O

AutoCAD Electrical 2017 Advanced

A three day, twenty-four hour course working with AutoCAD Electrical 2017 databases, software and project settings and configuration, software utilities (Reporting Tools and Project/Drawing Update Tools) and creating/using templates. In addition to the aforementioned software functions this course will cover symbol creation, PLC symbol customization and the use of terminals and other miscellaneous symbols. A working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical basics is preferred. An understanding of database software or specifically experience with Microsoft Access Database software will be helpful.
When: Fridays, March 17, 24, and 31st from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
