Post-Election Analysis Member Call with Mark Parkinson

On Friday, November 6 at 2:00 pm, AHCA/NCAL CEO Mark Parkinson will provide an analysis of the impact of the recent election results on the long term care sector. All members are invited to participate.
 
Registration is limited, and the webinar will be recorded and available for playback within 24 hours.
 
How to Register: 
  • To avoid technical problems, use Google Chrome. 
  • Members will need to login using their existing AHCA/NCAL username and password first. 
  • Once you are logged in to the website, you will be able to register by clicking the green register button at the top of the page. 
  • If you have forgotten your password, click here.
  • If you are new to the site, you can create an account here. Answer all fields on the create an account page- especially locating your company name. You can search by name or zip code. After creating an account, you will be able to register for the webinar. 
November 6: Deadline
to Sign Up for Vaccine Distribution Program

The deadline to sign up for the the national vaccine distribution program for LTC residents, Pharmacy Partnership for Long Term Care Program, is today, November 6. Nearly all VCHA-VCAL members have already indicated their selection, but we wanted to send a final reminder.
 
You can review your selection as follows:
  • SNFs can review their data in NHSN by going in through the calendar view.
  • ALFS can review their selection in REDCap using the unique code that the facility received when the form was initially completed.

VCU and GMU ECHO
National Nursing Home COVID Action Network

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and George Mason University (GMU) are both serving as training centers for the ECHO National Nursing Home COVID Action Network. They are actively recruiting Virginia nursing facilities to participate in their cohorts, which begin shortly
 
We encourage you to sign up for this nationwide program to keep COVID-19 from spreading in nursing homes and to equip staff to better protect residents and themselves. Using the ECHO Project model, the training centers are establishing interactive communities of practice. Eligible facilities that complete the 16-week training program can receive a $6,000 stipend.
