Upcoming AHCA/NCAL Office Hour
CMS Interim Final Rule on Vaccine Mandate

Join AHCA/NCAL on Monday, December 13 at 4:00 pm for an office hour to discuss recent updates on the CMS interim final rule  (IFR) on vaccine mandates provided by Sarah Skubas, attorney at law, Jackson Lewis, along with Dr. David Gifford, AHCA/NCAL chief medical officer. The update will be followed by a question and answer session where attendee questions on vaccine mandates will be addressed.

Registration is limited, and a recording will be available following the webinar. Please contact [email protected] with any registration issues or questions.

CMS released QSO-22-04-ALL advising state survey agencies they should not enforce the IFR regarding the vaccine mandate or requirements for policies and procedures in certified Medicare/Medicaid providers and suppliers while there are court-ordered injunctions in place pending additional clarity from the courts.

AHCA/NCAL recommends members continue to encourage staff to get COVID-19 vaccines and prepare for a vaccine mandate so that if the government’s arguments prevail, policies and procedures can be quickly implemented. We will provide additional details as soon as anything changes.
Job Board Posting Opportunities for Provider Members
Afghan Refugee Resettlement

AHCA/NCAL has been partnering with prominent refugee groups and noting our centers have a variety of positions available. One such group is Welcome.US. The Welcome vision is that every Afghan refugee can get a good job, commensurate with their skills. Virginia has been designated as one of the top states receiving Afghan refugees. (More details can be found here on a recent White House roundtable event AHCA/NCAL’s Clif Porter participated in on the resettlement efforts.)

Welcome.US has informed AHCA/NCAL that its Welcome.US Employment Exchange is live and ready for featuring job opportunities to the tens of thousands of refugees and Afghan ally job seekers. The ManpowerGroup, through its pro bono contribution, helped to build this exchange, and Accenture facilitated the hiring and training working group.

The Welcome.US Employment Exchange is a simple jobs posting platform that helps interested employers hire Afghan newcomers and refugees easier and faster, as it will be marketed for use by refugees, case managers, and other individuals facilitating employment opportunities for our new neighbors. Posting jobs on the Exchange takes only 3 simple steps:

  1. Appoint a point of contact (POC) to work with ManpowerGroup and determine which jobs you would like to display on the Employment Exchange.
  2. Gather needed information on job openings for individual entry or batch upload via Excel using this template.
  3. Visit the Jobs Exchange link to upload jobs.

To ensure the jobs posted get the most visibility, Welcome.US is encouraging employers to post open roles by Friday, December 10, before a public live demo and training Welcome.US will conduct with the resettlement agencies and refugee job seekers during the week of December 13. Welcome.US is planning on doing a major public launch of the Welcome Employment Exchange the week of December 13.

Manpower and Accenture will host Welcome.US Employment Exchange Office Hours on Thursday, December 9 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm for tech support and to answer questions from your HR POCs. To join the Microsoft Teams meeting use the following information:
