Where: Virginia Crossings Hotel Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Richmond

With this event we hope to provide consumers with the knowledge needed to discuss new and current treatment options, to discuss the ins and outs of clinical trials, and to have conversations around insurance barriers to treatment.

Saturday, March 9th

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Educational Presentations on Emerging Therapies, Clinical Trials, Insurance Trends and Barriers, Round-table Discussions, Visit Exhibitors, Video Game Truck for the Kids and Teens, and more!

6:30 pm: Community Dinner (all ages)


Separate programming and meals for adults, teens, children and childcare for ages 5 and under. There is no cost to attend and hotel assistance is available for an overnight stay.
C ommunity Event - Indoor Rock Climbing

When: Sunday, March 10th

Where: Peak Experiences, Richmond

Get active with your bleeding disorders community and join us to learn more about the health benefits of indoor rock climbing! This fun physical activity engages participants in overcoming perceived limitations, increasing self-confidence, recognizing personal strengths and limitations, and examining goal achievement. There is no minimum age or weight restrictions to try out climbing, they have a variety of equipment that can fit all shapes, sizes, and physical abilities. Lunch will be provided.

Event is limited to those with an inherited bleeding disorder and their immediate family and/or household members. There is no fee to attend.
VHF/HACA Family Bleeding Disorders Camp at Camp Holiday Trails

When: Friday, April 26 - Sunday, April 28

Where: Camp Holiday Trails, Charlottesville


A weekend camp for families impacted by an inherited bleeding disorder. This program is designed for families with at least one child living at home who is between the ages of 5 – 17, whose children are camp ready and/or are looking to attend camp in the next two years. Eligible families are those impacted by an inherited bleeding disorder who live in the territorial jurisdiction of VHF & HACA.

ACCEPTANCE TO FAMILY BLEEDING DISORDERS CAMP
Acceptance to Family Bleeding Disorders Camp is not first come first served, it is based on a review of the application by VHF, HACA, and Camp Holiday Trails. Once your application is accepted there is a $25 registration fee (per family).

VHF/HACA Camp Youngblood at Camp Holiday Trails

When: Sunday, July 7 - Friday, July 12

Where: Camp Holiday Trails, Charlottesville

All parts of the online application for Camp Youngblood must be complete by April 30th

A week-long overnight camp for children with inherited bleeding disorders, their siblings, and children of members of the inherited bleeding disorder community that reside within the VHF or HACA coverage area. Kids enjoy a week of fun and learning with others that are faced with similar challenges and life experiences.

ACCEPTANCE TO CAMP YOUNGBLOOD
Acceptance to Camp Youngblood is based on a review of the Camper’s application by Camp Holiday Trails Program and Medical staff. Once your application is accepted there is a $25 registration fee (per camper).
