Schedule Adjustment: This coming week only
Due to Aspire testing scheduled at West High School, we are having to alter our end of day time a bit on Wednesday and Thursday next week only. On Wednesday, May 5 and again on Thursday, May 6, students will be going home and ending their Zoom classes at 2pm. The scheduling issue arises because students at West will be having a full day of school on Wednesday and Thursday to take the Aspire test. Instead of ending school at 12:30 like they normally do, they will be ending their day closer to 3pm. As such, there is an increased need for buses that are already in short supply in the two to three o'clock hour. We apologize for any inconvenience that this change may cause you.

The change in release time is resulting in changes to our daily schedule at Hamilton on both May 5 and 6. Please see the special schedule link below for these two days only.
Safety Drill Procedures Review and Practice
As you likely know, safety at Hamilton never takes a holiday. With students back in the building, our regular safety drills will continue with some modifications, including a monthly fire drill in May and again in June, and a review of lockdown and other safety related protocols with students. These reviews are scheduled to begin next week. Please see the below link for more information.
Yes, there is such thing as a free lunch--and breakfast too!
The federal government has made all breakfast and lunch servings to all students free of charge for the remainder of this school year. If your child would like breakfast and/or lunch at school, they may do so without having to pay at the window, having a lunch account, or even giving their name.
Bon appétit!
Benefits for Families Whose Children Normally Qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch Program
P-EBT is a program that provides temporary monetary benefits to families of children who normally get free or reduced-price meals at school but could not because they have been learning from home full or part-time during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you feel that your family would qualify for these benefits, please see the below link for more information.
8th Grade Families: Movin' West
Incoming West High School 9th graders & families are invited to watch an interactive virtual presentation "Movin' West" on Monday, May 3, after 4pm. This presentation will help you learn more about the "West Experience," including extracurricular activities, athletics, academic support and resources, and ways you can get involved. MSCR In-Person After School Programming

MSCR staff members are very excited to see Middle School students returning to the schools. With the return to school, MSCR will be able to offer limited In Person Afterschool programming.

MSCR Middle School Afterschool will look different this spring. In person recreational programming will be offered for only students attending school in the building that day and will consist of group games and activities focused on physical activity, social interaction, and will be held outdoors whenever possible. MSCR will be following all Health & Safety guidelines established by MMSD Health Services.

MSCR Middle School Afterschool will not be drop-in this spring. In order to attend, students must be registered. Spots in the program are limited due to staffing and available program space. If more students register than can attend, MSCR staff will select students, create waiting lists and contact families via email of their enrollment status.

After school programs will take place from 2:45-5:00 Tuesdays and Fridays at Hamilton.
To register for the MSCR Middle School Afterschool Program, please complete this linked Registration Form.
