Short Week Ahead
Just a quick heads up that students have only three days of school this coming week. Monday there is no school in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. On Friday, January 20 there is no school for students as it is a day designated across all MMSD schools for teachers to work on Semester 1 grades.
School Start Time, 23-24
While it is not yet confirmed, it looks like our Hamilton Middle school day start time for the 2023-2024 school year will be moving to an earlier time. Right now the thinking at the district level is to have all middle schools starting somewhere in the 8:35-8:45am window. Again, this new start time for next year is not confirmed. I will be sure to update all members of our Hamilton Middle community when next year's schedule is finalized.
Fishing Club with Bob Weidholz
Hamilton Fishing Club will be starting January 18 in room 151 after school and is open to students in all grades at Hamilton Middle. Pick up an information sheet and application from Mr. Wiedholz in room 151. Get your application in as soon as possible as there will be a limit to the number of participants. Applying does not guarantee a spot in the club.
We talk a lot in education about learning targets for each and every lesson that is delivered to our students. Perhaps the targets are much more apparent for students currently participating in the Archery Unit in our Hamilton Middle Physical Education classes!
January brings....Outdoor learning in Katie Venturini's eighth grade science classes! Crazy, I know!
