Using Infinite Campus To Monitor Your Child's Progress
I will continue to remind and encourage parents to install the Infinite Campus app on their phones (students can too!). Infinite campus can also be accessed from any computer. Infinite Campus, or IC, is the main data warehouse of your child's educational progress. Downloading the IC app to your phone allows you to see grades on assignments, including the designation of "Missing" immediately after the teacher enters the information in their electronic grade book. The same type of notification will arrive to your phone for attendance where you can see immediately if your child has been marked absent or tardy. There are a variety of options in the app's settings for receiving notifications, including choices on the types of notifications you want to receive and those you do not want to receive. To download the IC app to your phone, see the below link, which also includes information on how to configure the appropriate notification settings in the app.
Snack Request
This late start and end time to our school day is requiring us to rethink many things that we do on our Hamilton campus in support of our students. We are finding that students at times will benefit from either a morning or afternoon snack. We are asking your support in donating snacks for our classrooms. However, before making a shopping list, please see the below link for some general district guidance on the types of snacks that are recommended. Despite what it says at the link, we ask that any donated snack be nonperishable with no need for refrigeration.

We ask that donations be directed to your child's Advisory teacher. We will smooth out donations across classes to be sure we are providing for all students. As part of this smoothing process we will make strategic decisions to accommodate known food allergies. Thank you for considering a snack donation to Hamilton!

Free Chromebook Repair Deadline Approaching
The deadline for taking care of chromebook problems before the district starts charging the cost to your family has been moved from October 1 to October 18. Just to clarify: the things you would be charged for are loss or actual physical damage to the chromebook or charger. You will never be charged for login problems or anything about how it operates. Questions? Email our Librarian, Ms Phelps
Assignment Calendars Available
There are several ways for students to keep up with their assignments, knowing what to do and when it is due. Some tools in use are Infinite Campus, Google Classroom, and physical planners. There are also individual teachers and smaller teacher teams that are sharing electronic Assignment Calendars with their specific students. Some full grade levels and departments are also beginning to provide an electronic Assignment Calendar as centralized locations for assignments. As these grade level and department calendars come online, links will be shared in this newsletter.
