Picture Day, Take One

The first of two picture days at Hamilton Middle will take place on Tuesday, September 27. Most students will find themselves in front of the camera on Tuesday. We will have a second picture day on October 28 for any students who were absent on the first day, or who otherwise did not get their pictures taken.

Reminder: Hamilton Book Fair

Our Hamilton Middle Scholastic Book Fair will run September 26-30. All purchases benefit Hamilton. Visit our Book Fair Homepage for our hours, how to buy, and details.

Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. eWallet is a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. You can create an eWallet and add money, or invite grandparents, friends and others to contribute too.

Directions are here for creating an eWallet. Students can buy from eWallet during the Book Fair. Our school also has a Hamilton Student Book Fair Donation Fund that we invite you to donate to. (Ignore grade level on linked donation page - we could only pick one, but any VHM student who wants a book will get one!). We will use this school-wide wallet for students who want a book, but whose families are currently experiencing financial stress. Ms. Phelps will run this eWallet, and make purchases to fulfill student requests.

An Open House Ask

For our upcoming Open House event, we are asking families to try to spread out their visit time a bit to reduce hallway and classroom congestion, and of course help to keep the spread of covid in check. Below is our modified schedule for our Hamilton Middle Open House. The alphabetic division is not required, but is suggested as a way to provide some space.

Date: September 28

Families of Students with Last Names A-J: 5:30-6:15pm

Families of Students with Last Names K-Z: 6:15-7:00pm

Format: Our Open House will follow a drop-in format. There will be no bells or the formal following of student schedules. Parents and families can drop-in to their children's classes for informal conversations with teachers and staff members. Open House is a time for you to see where your child "goes to work" each day and to meet their teachers. It is not a time to try to have impromptu parent-teacher conferences. Parent-teacher conferences will be coming your way in mid-November.  Students are welcome to attend Open House with you!

How do I Find My Student's Schedule for Open House?

If you are planning on touching base with all your child's teachers at Open House, then you will need to know your child's schedule. Below are three ways to navigate your child's schedule while at Open House:

1. Infinite Campus: Your child's schedule is available to you in Infinite Campus, or IC. You can look up your child's schedule at home and print/photograph the schedule. In addition, you can load IC onto your phone to have access to the schedule while on the go. Information on accessing and downloading IC is available at this link.
2. Have your child write out their schedule, including teacher names and room numbers.
3. Bring your child with you to Open House!
