"I just don't want the day to end" The above is a quote from one our sixth grade students this week when asked how the day was going. It was absolutely wonderful having larger numbers of students and staff members back on our campus this week. For me, I was filled with an exuberance in my daily work as principal here at Hamilton that I had not felt in such a long time. I don't think any of us truly understands the depth and breadth of all that has been absent in our lives these past 13 months until the moment we are reacquainted with something lost and now found. And so it was this week, getting reacquainted with some long lost joy, while at the same time showing the way for our students attending in-person for the first time on our campus.

Attendance Corrections in Progress We experienced a couple of glitches in our student attendance system this week as we transitioned to adding an in-person option. One of the two glitches resulted in students attending school virtually being marked absent for the entire day if they missed only one or a few classes. We are working to get individual student attendance corrected in our system.

Entry and Exit Doors to Start and End Each Day Sixth In-person students did a great job this week finding the correct doors to enter and exit each day, all while maintaining appropriate social distancing! Next up are seventh and eighth grade students. If you child is not sure which doors on our campus to enter and exit each day, please review the appropriate video in the green box. Thanks!
