Parent-Teacher Conferences

If You Had A Conference Scheduled for TODAY Teachers will be contacting families who had their Parent-Teacher conference cancelled today (Thursday) due to the weather closure. Thank you for your patience as we get things rescheduled.

West High Dance Team to Perform

Madison West Dance Team will be performing at halftime of the Monday night Hamilton Middle basketball game here at Hamilton. Game time is ?? The Dance Team plans to start a middle school competitive dance team this spring and the West dancers & coaches will be available both right after school and after the game to answer any questions interested students or parents may have.

The Madison Latino Youth Summit for students in Grades 7 and 8 is scheduled to take place on March 27-28 on the UW campus. See the two link at right for more info.

Student Voice Collective Teacher Supply Drive:

We have great appreciation for anyone who would like to donate pencils, graph paper, masking tape, loose leaf paper, scissors, pens and sharpies, as those are the most needed items. We would also appreciate whiteboard markers, electric pencil sharpeners, whiteboard erasers, colored paper and cardstock, however, these items are less needed.

Please drop donations off in the library media center anytime between now and the 17th of February.

Event Tomorrow: PTO Sponsored Family Ski Day

The PTO-sponsored family ski time at Tyrol Basin continues to be popular! The next meetup is tomorrow afternoon, February 10 (1-4pm), when there is no school. Carpools can be organized through a google spreadsheet. Parents can add their kids' names to the google spreadsheet list and indicate whether they need a ride or can offer a ride. Reach out to Holly Gibbs-Orcutt to get the spreadsheet shared with you (hkgibbs@wisc.edu).

Our Hamilton after school Chess Club got up and running this week. Thanks to Ms. Zappia for hosting this group!

Student Voice Collective

Bake Sale

The Hamilton Middle Student Voice Collective is planning on a second bake sale on February 14th. The bake sale will be identical to the one last time, with SVC selling baked goods outside the cafeteria hallway during lunch on Tuesday for every grade. All items sold will be nut-free and there will be some gluten-free and dairy-free items. Prices are generally in the $1-$2 range. Funds raised are used to support student activities at Hamilton, such as school dances.
