Newsletter Hiatus

This week marks the end of the Hamilton Headlines for the 2021-2022 school year! With the exception of a photos only edition coming your way tomorrow, the newsletter will be on hiatus until sometime after July 1. Rest assured that if and when important news comes up over the months of summer, such information will be shared with you, either through ConstantContact or SchoolMessenger.

A note to our families whose only or last child is ending their 8th grade year on our campus: You will no longer be receiving any updates from Hamilton beyond June 30. I wish you well in the years ahead. Best wishes on your child's journey into and through high school!

Student Novels

Students in Jordan Meiller's 6th grade WIN classes wrote short novels that were professionally published. Students each received a copy of their own novel, and a second copy was placed into our Hamilton Library. Quote Ms. Meiller, "The students are so proud of their work, and I feel honored to be along for the journey of creating their novels with them."

Hamilton Dragster Competition Champion

Congratulations to Sarita Desai on becoming the Champion Engineer in Kristi Slovik's Technology Class, designing and constructing the fastest CO2 dragster! Sarita's dragster came across the finish line with a time of 0.836 seconds, beating the school record of 0.853 seconds set in October 2018 by Olive Austin. Sarita's name will now be placed on the classroom trophy until her speed record is overtaken. Are you up for the design challenge, future 7th grade students?

We held our "Movin' On" ceremony today over at West High to celebrate the schooling accomplishments to date of these remarkable students. Best wishes to one and all of these movin' on students in the next chapter of their lives: High School!
