Grade 6 & New Student Chromebook Exchange
and Pick Up: September 3
The date for sixth grade Hamilton students to exchange their Chromebooks has been set for Thursday, September 3, 8am-3pm at Wright Middle School. This date and location also applies to any students who are new to MMSD and as yet do not have a Chromebook. Returning Hamilton students in grades 7 and 8 do not need to participate in the exchange if they already have a Chromebook.

Important Note: If your incoming sixth grade child already has a district issued Dell computer, then there is no need to participate in the exchange.

If you are unable to make it on your scheduled exchange day, you can go to the Wright Middle School drive through at one of the following times:
September 8: 8am - 3pm
September 9: 12pm - 7pm
September 10: 12pm - 7pm
September 11: 8am - 3pm

Expect to receive an email and a text message (if you have opted in to receive text messages from MMSD) from the district about your child's exchange date, time and location, as a reminder. You may have already received the email from the district.
Google Classroom Invites
Students and families should be on the lookout for invitations to Google Classrooms from Hamilton teachers. Invites for most classes are scheduled to arrive to inboxes on Wednesday of this week.
Instrument Pick Up Information
Students who are in 6th Grade Orchestra who are renting from the district can pick up their instrument on Wednesday, September 9, 8-10am & 3-4:30pm.  Students in 6th grade band will have future pick up day scheduled after instrument types have all been introduced and discussed in class across the first couple weeks of school. Please watch for an email from music teachers with additional information regarding instrument pick up procedures.

Any 7-8th grade band or orchestra students must arrange instrument needs with their music teacher through email communication and pick up on 9/9 at the above times.

Installing Infinite Campus on Your Phone
From time to time, as principal I will receive an email from a concerned parent that they were not informed that their child had missing assignments. Please know that we do notify parents of missing assignments, and this notification is designed to take place through Infinite Campus. Infinite campus can be accessed from any computer. Please also consider downloading Infinite Campus to your phone. Downloading the Infinite Campus App to your phone allows you to see grades on assignments, including the designation of "Missing" immediately after the teacher enters the information in their electronic grade book. The same type of notification will arrive to your phone for attendance where you can see immediately if your child has been marked absent or tardy. To download the IC App to your phone, see the below link to the district's attendance page, which also includes information on how to configure the appropriate notification setting in the App.
Check Out a Hamilton Library Book
If you would like to check out a library book from Hamilton and pick it up on Wed, Sept 9, here is how:
  • You will need to put a hold on the book. Here is a video that shows how. Let’s limit it to 2 books right now -- we can add to this number after a month.
  • Please place your holds by TUESDAY, Sept 8 at NOON. (That gives Ms. Phelps time to go to school, get the books, check them out to you, and organize them on a cart for you to pick up.)
  • When you come on Wednesday, Sept. 9, A STAFF PERSON will get your information, locate the LMC HOLDS cart, find the bundle with YOUR NAME and bring it to you. It would be helpful to open your car trunk for them to safely deliver to you.
  • IF YOU HAVE LMC books to return (to any MMSD library), put them in your car trunk, and a Hamilton staff member will take them and put them on the RETURNS cart.
Questions? Email Ms Phelps (LMTS)
