The End of the Week Arrives

It's all thumbs up as we head to the end of our Labor Day shortened week of school. We have spent a good deal of time across these first several days getting students acquainted with school protocols and building relationships. We will continue to work toward proficiency around our protocol expectations and strand in relationship work across the year. Teachers are also settling into their routines in classrooms, and the academic piece is beginning to pick up steam!

The Quick Links section of this newsletter has returned and will run in most weekly newsletters across the 2022-2023 school year. Links may come and go in the section. Current links include connections to our Hamilton Library resources, assignment calendars for 7th and 8th grade, our PTO, and MSCR programming. You can find the Quick Links section in the below blue section.

In the Fall and Spring when the weather cooperates, students eat lunches outside at Camp Hamilton.

Picking Your Child Up Early From Hamilton

Please let us know when you will be picking your child up early from school. There are two ways of letting us know of your plans in advance. First, you can use the "Attendance Reporting Online" form found at this link. Alternatively, you can call our attendance line at (608) 204-4702 to tell us what time you will be picking up your child. When it is time to pick up your child, please come into our main front parking lot off Waukesha Street to Door 1. Most often, your child will be waiting inside the entrance and can leave with you when you arrive. If no one is present, please use the buzzer to let us know you have arrived. There is no need to sign your child out physically as we have already taken care of that information based on your communication with us. If your child will be returning later that same day, drop them off at Door 1 and have them use the buzzer and wait for directions from our office staff.

When something comes up during the day and you have to pick up your child and do not have time to contact the office or to fill out the form, again come to our main entrance facing Waukesha Street and use the buzzer at the door. We will locate your child and get them to you as soon as possible. Please know that if your child is at recess or is outside for PE, it may take up to 15 minutes for us to locate them.

For safety purposes, we always need to know if your child is leaving campus with you during the school day. Please do not call or text your child to tell them to leave school with you.
