PTO Meeting, November 10
Please consider joining us at our next PTO meeting on Wednesday, November 10, at 6pm on Zoom.
Fall Back
As we head into the weekend, keep in mind that it is time to turn our clocks back one hour. The change takes place overnight from Saturday into Sunday. While we love your children, we do not want them showing up an hour early to school on Monday!
Regent Wrestling Club
Is your child interested in trying wrestling? The Regent Wrestling Club targeting interested youth in grades 2-8 will begin on November 15. Practices and competitions run through March and there is no fee for participation. Practices are held at West High School. Please see the below links for further information including an email contact for any questions that you might have.
Reporting an Absence in a Timely Manner
When picking up your child early from school for an appointment or to otherwise leave early, please give us as much advance notice as possible. Knowing first thing in the morning that your child will be picked up later in the day helps us to connect with your child so that they are waiting for you at our Hamilton main entrance at the desired pick-up time. There are three different ways to let us know that your child will be leaving early or will be absent from school.

Attendance Line (608) 204-4702: Call our attendance line day or night and leave a message that your child will be absent.

Main Office Phone Number (608) 204-4620: If time got away from you and school has already started, you can also call our main office phone number to talk to one of our friendly Hamilton front office workers to report your child absent.

Online Reporting Form: You can also report your child absent from school by using our MMSD online absence reporting tool that can be found at this link. Once at the link, click on the 'Reporting an Absence' dropdown, and then click the blue 'Report Your Child Absent' button. Note that this process will require you to log into your parent Infinite Campus account.

Covid Note: If your child is absent due to an actual or suspected covid-19 infection, we ask that you contact our school Health Office so we can plan for or conduct contact tracing as needed. Health Office: (608) 204-4632.

Vaccination Update
Choosing to have your child vaccinated against the covid-19 virus is a family choice. Here at Hamilton the information shared throughout this pandemic has been both to help you to understand various school and district protocols regarding covid safety, and to provide you with information so that you can make appropriate decisions for you and your family. As you may know, covid vaccines were made available this week to youth within the ages of 5 to 11. For additional information on the vaccine available to this age group, I invite you to visit the below "Explainer" article from the Associated Press.
