Hamilton Mural Update

As you may have seen in previous editions of Hamilton Headlines, a new mural has been taking shape on our Hamilton campus. This week the mural has come more into place, turning a tired and peeling exterior wall into a bright and welcome space that can be seen from many classrooms and from our staff lounge. Thank you students!!

Last Active Community Time for Grade 8

Across the school year we schedule ACT Days where students across all grade levels gather in mixed grade level groups for fun activities. This past week, we held an ACT event for only our 8th grade students who participated in many activities both inside and outside. We thank our Student Voice Collective for helping to organize this event! The photos here are of some of the activities, while the Photo Finish section below includes many pics from our Hamilton Photo Booth.

Making the Kona Ice Trucks Possible

An aspect of our 8th grade only ACT event was a Kona Ice truck on our campus (pictured above), a welcomed relief on this hot day! The truck was made available to us through a generous donation by Middleton Jewelers, which is owned and operated by a Hamilton family. The delicious Kona Ice treats were free to our students--thank you Middleton Jewelers! (As an aside, this principal recently had an antique engagement ring set restored at Middleton Jewelers and I can attest to the wonderful work that they do--the outcome was truly amazing!)

Thank you Health Office!

As we move more fully into summer, we take a moment to thank our Health Office team of Nurse Lauri Ysen and Nurse's Assistant Dawn Lawler for keeping our students and us as staff members safe and healthy across the 22-23 school year! These two health professionals bandaged many scraped knees, met the ongoing daily health support needs of students, made us all feel safe on the occasion where the services of an ambulance was needed, and provided gentle encouragement to students who at times have ailments related to post-pandemic stress and who simply need a bit of TLC. As their shirts say, "My tummy hurts, but I'm being brave about it." Thanks Health Office team!

Last Chance: Yearbook Extra Copy?

All Hamilton Middle students have received a copy of the 2023 school Yearbook. Hamilton staff member Jen Muth created the Yearbook and it is wonderful! There has been some interest from families in obtaining additional copies of the yearbook. You can order your own copy of the yearbook at the below link for delivery to an address of your choice. Cost is about $22.50 plus applicable tax and delivery charges.
